Caden Stone
My journey into masonry actually started out in the field, apprenticing under Bruce Trostle. Learning from him gave me a firsthand look at the old-school, traditional methods of stone artistry and historic preservation that you just can't get from a textbook. Wanting to back up that hands-on mentorship with formal technical training, I went on to attend Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in Lancaster, PA, where I got a rock-solid education in the trade. With three years of professional field experience under my belt, I combine that classic heritage training with modern techniques. Whether I'm fixing a chimney, restoring historic brickwork, or upgrading a local small business, I’m all about doing the job right and making sure it lasts.

Bruce Trostle
In Bruce's own words, "My Grandfather started the masonry business in 1952. He specialized in stone work but also worked on brick, block, & fireplaces. I had great uncles that were stone masons on the Rockville bridge. My father Richard and his brother Glenn took over the business in 1969 - "Trostle Brothers Masonry". I started working for my dad in 1972, I was only 14 years old. My dad retired in 1993, the business split up, then I bought my dad's share and started Bruce R. Trostle Masonry in 1993. 33 years later it has now turned into Stone & Trostle Masonry."
